The Magnus Colt is currently a yearling and is the first foal of our very good mare Alaskan Jade. He was raised in Victoria and was offered a position into Victoria’s William Inglis Premier Sale, Book 1 (which is Victoria’s Top Sale and one of Australia’s Top Sales).
His father MAGNUS is in the top 10 for Australian sires by winners in 20/21 & 21/22. He boasts a progeny including 52 stakes horses, 72% winners to runners and 17% stakes horses to winners. He has been the sire of 4 Group 1 winners and 14 ‘millionaires.’
His mother ALASKAN JADE was a very handy Metropolitan sprinter winning 7 metropolitan races and winning over $220,000 in prizemoney.
This colt is well into his breaking in preparation. We have found him to be sensible but he does illustrate some real get up and go. He is a lovely, loose moving horse and he is most certainly going to look the part when he matures. He has many similar traits that his mother had and we are excited to have him here at our stables.
