Spiegel Grove ventured to Pt Augusta on Sunday, to contest the 1600m BM56 and was ridden by Ryan Hurdle. After settling at the rear of the field he started a long-sustained run from the 1000m mark. He was forced to travel very wide around runners through the turn and eventually wore down the leaders to win by 1 length. It was as tough a win as you will see. Congratulations to connections.
